Fine antique French bronze inkstand from the Empire period (1799-1815), carried by three imposing sea monsters.

This solid bronze inkstand is fully executed in classic style and rests on three beautifully crafted sea monsters/dolphins, which powerfully support the bowl. The lid shows richly engraved details and opens to a complete interior with loose inserts - including original ink pot and sand spreader - which significantly increases its collector's value.
