Description
Characterful and authentic: this Chinese porcelain serving dish from the Jiaqing period (1796-1820) shows a classic river landscape with pavilions, boats and hills, executed in underglaze blue. The octagonal bowl is framed with a decorative rim in a diamond pattern. On the rim are two small firing faults, created during the original firing process - typical of artisanal production of the time. A charming detail that gives this antique piece extra character. A beautiful collector's item with historical appeal.
