The deep cobalt blue and refined brushwork make this plate a real showpiece, ideal for collectors who appreciate the beauty of the Qianlong period.

Origin & meaning
During the Qianlong period (1736-1795), Chinese porcelain reached a peak in refinement and craftsmanship. This plate is not only a fine example of export porcelain with figures and flowers, but also bears a special provenance: it comes from a Groninger gentlemen's farm where a lot of VOC porcelain was collected in the 18th and 19th centuries. Purchased from Veilinghuis Klinkhamer in Groningen, this object directly links the world trade of the 18th century with the Dutch collecting tradition.

Dimensions
Diameter 28.4 cm, height 2 cm.
