Origin & meaning
The headdress is a sign of ritual or ancestral status, giving this amulet more prestige than simple variants. The pose with the arms around the body reinforces the protective symbolism. Originating from the Dayak, purchased from De Zwaan auction house.
Dimensions & condition
Height 10.5 cm (without plinth), 12.5 cm (incl. plinth). Width 2.5 cm, depth 2 cm. Good condition with traces of use and weathered patina.
