The many colour photographs are beautifully printed on glossy paper and give the objects impressive visual power.<\/p>\n<p>This item is from the collection of <strong>Clemens Merkelbach of Enkhuizen<\/strong>. It was once given by him as a gift to his partner; the title page still has a small, personal note that gives the book an extra layer and charm. The interior is in excellent condition; a slight discolouration is visible on the lower left front cover, but otherwise the book makes a very well-groomed impression.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Origin &amp; meaning<\/strong><br \/>\nThis catalogue is among the Tokyo National Museum's most prized publications. The selection includes masterpieces from the Nara, Heian and Kamakura periods, among others, many of which are only rarely accessible to the public.
