La figure est v\u00eatue d'une robe pliss\u00e9e orn\u00e9e de pigments rouges et de motifs floraux, dont des restes sont encore bien visibles. L'expression douce du visage, la posture de la t\u00eate l\u00e9g\u00e8rement pench\u00e9e et la coiffure haute conf\u00e8rent \u00e0 la statue une allure sobre et royale.<\/p>\n<p>La conservation est excellente : traces naturelles d'anciennet\u00e9, restes fragmentaires de pigments, pas de fractures ni de restaurations. Pas de test TL pr\u00e9sent. Livr\u00e9 sur un support en plexiglas transparent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Origine et signification<\/strong><br \/>\nLes figurines de \u2018Fat Lady\u2019 symbolisent la prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 et le raffinement de la culture de la cour Tang (618-907 apr. J.-C.), o\u00f9 la beaut\u00e9 f\u00e9minine \u00e9tait associ\u00e9e \u00e0 l'\u00e9l\u00e9gance et au statut. Ces figurines \u00e9taient plac\u00e9es dans les tombes de l'\u00e9lite pour accompagner la vitalit\u00e9 et la gr\u00e2ce du d\u00e9funt. Cet exemplaire provient de la collection de <strong>\u00c9lisabeth Sijke van der Woude<\/strong> (1938\u20132023), Leeuwarden ; via <strong>Venduehuis La Haye<\/strong>. D\u00e9j\u00e0 achet\u00e9 chez <strong>Vanderven &amp; Vanderven<\/strong> op <strong>PAN Amsterdam (2000)<\/strong>.
