Onze privécollectie gaat onder de hamer bij Veilinggebouw De Zwaan, Amsterdam.

Met gemengde gevoelens, maar vooral veel enthousiasme, delen wij dat een selectie uit onze privécollectie binnenkort wordt geveild bij Veilinggebouw De Zwaan in Amsterdam.

Van der Waals Collectie sticker

Van **20 mei tot en met 3 juni** komen deze zorgvuldig verzamelde objecten onder de hamer. Het betreft stukken die wij door de jaren heen met veel aandacht en passie hebben verworven; objecten met karakter, geschiedenis en uitstraling.

Voor ons is dit een bijzonder moment. Niet alleen omdat we afscheid nemen van een groot deel van onze collectie, maar ook omdat deze stukken nu hun weg mogen vinden naar nieuwe verzamelaars die er net zo van zullen genieten als wij dat hebben gedaan.

De veiling is online te volgen en biedt een mooie kans om bijzondere objecten te verwerven met een sterke herkomst. Ze zijn te vinden op de veiling site van De Zwaan en onder andere ook op Invaluable.

1062 – Neogotische verguld metalen kerkkandelaar, circa 1920; Uitgevoerd in twee verdiepingen, plek voor tien kaarsen
1780 – Delft, polychroom geschilderde aardewerk plaquette, 18e eeuw; Uitgevoerd met Chinoiserie voorstelling van figuren bij paviljoen, vogels en bloemen.
1786 – Fürstenberg, vijf porseleinen vormstukken, figuren uit Commedia dell'Arte, 20e eeuw; Bestaande uit Scaramuz, Columbine, Pierrot, Capitano en Pantalone. Allen gemodelleerd naar von Feilner. Vier met originele doos.
1833 – Frankrijk, paar blauw wit aardewerk schenkkannen, 19e eeuw; Uitgevoerd met geschilderde voorstellingen van figuren in landschappen, centraal gekroond wapenschild. Tinnen monturen.
1859 – Wedgwood, aardewerk kom, 'Fairyland' decor, circa 1920; Uitgveoerd met lusterglazuur, geschilderd decor van elfjes die haasje over springen.
1925 – Vermoedelijk Engeland, donker gepatineerde bronzen inktpot, Regency, circa 1800, schaalvormig met deksel gedragen door drie dolfijnen.
1933 – Frankrijk, vuurvergulde bronzen buste, 'La Nuit', ontwerp Virgile Morey (1831-1895); Geplaatst op griotte rouge voet met titelplaatje.
1938 – Louis Emile Cana (1843-1895), een bronzen schaal met jacht scene in hoogrelief, 19e eeuw centraal twee jachthonden omringd door een landschap met prooidieren, gedragen op drie voluutvormige poten bekroond met wolven. Gesigneerd.
1994 – Midden Europe, paar gestoken en polychroom geschilderde eikenhouten balkfragmenten, 17e eeuw; Beide met voorstelling van grotesk met beweegbare tong.
2082 – Giuseppe Speluzzi (1827-1890), paar gezwart houten lage hockers, circa 1870; Uitgevoerd met gestoken decoratie van fantasiefiguren op de hoekstijlen in renaissance stijl. Onderzijde gemerkt met ronde plaquette Giu Speluzzi Milano. h. 37 cm, diam. 63 cm
2366 – Duitsland, lindehouten gestoken sculptuur voorstellende het Lam Gods, circa 1900 Gezeten op een bijbel met zegels
2582 – Frankrijk, iriserend persglazen schaal, J. Landier, circa 1935; Uitgevoerd met patroon van lijnen waarin bubbels. Gesigneerd J. Landier, France.
2810 – China, a blue and white porcelain bowl, late Ming dynasty (1368-1644), the exterior painted with ducks in a lotus pond, the interior with a kylin surrounded by a band of flying horses at the rim (minor firing flaws)
2815 – China, a blue and white Transitional 'Kraak porselein' dish, mid 17th century, painted with a dignitary and his attendant, surrounded by panels of seated scholars and flowers

2818 – China, a blue and white 'kraak porselein' 'lion' dish, Wanli period (1573-1619), painted in bright cobalt tones with a star-shaped central panel enclosing a lion, surrounded by roundels of emblems, flowers and peach (some rim frits as may be expected)
2819 – China, a blue and white porcelain plate, Kangxi period (1662-1722), painted with peony, the rim with shaped panels of flowers and rabbits (hairline glaze crack and rim frits)
2828 – China, a blue and white porcelain two-handled sugar-bowl and cover, 18th-19th century, the sides decorated with pavilions in a river landscape (minor chip to standring, some wear)
2834 – China, a famille verte porcelain 'dragon' bowl, 20th century, he interior painted with a fierce dragon holding a pearl and emerging from crashing waves, the base with an apocryphal Kangxi mark (some iron spots)
2840 – China, a polychrome porcelain 'goldfish' dish, Qianlong period (1736-1795), painted with swimming goldfish among waterweeds, the rim with overglaze blue flower-sprays within a spearhead border
2841 – China, a blue and white porcelain serving dish, Qianlong period (1736-1795), painted with pavilions and a pagoda in an extensive river- landscape
2850 – China, a collection of 'monkey and deer' cups and saucers, Xianfeng mark and period (1851-1861), comprising seven cups and thirteen saucers and a later cup and saucer, each painted with a monkey seated in a pine-tree looking at a deer below holding a spray of lingzhi fungus, each with an iron-red mark to the base (condition report upon request)
2851 – China, a set of six famille rose porcelain cups and saucers, ca. 1900, painted with a bird in flight above a blossoming peony (in good overall condition)
2877 – China, a set of four and a single porcelain saucer, ca. 1900, the set painted with a lady in a wheelcart, a horse and attendants, the single saucer with figures in a landscape
2878 – China, a large Dehua figure of Budai, 20th century, the deity is shown seated on a lotus throne, his robes exposing his full belly, wearing a beaded necklace and holding a ruyi- sceptre, children clambering over his sides, the reverse with apocryphal seal mark and Dehua double-gourd mark
2879 – China, a blanc-de-chine figure of Guanyin, 20th century, seated on a lotus throne dressed in long flowing robes, headdress with figure of Buddha and necklace, her right hand in vitarkamudra, the reverse with two apocryphical blind marks (in good overall condition)
2907 – China, two blue and white porcelain bowls, Kangxi period (1662-1722), each variously painted with flowers and a band of rabbits (frits)

2914 – China, a set of six 'Amsterdams Bont' porcelain 'cherry- pickers' bowls, 18th century, overdecorated with a man on a ladder picking cherries from a tree (some minor frits)
2916 – China, a collection of café-au-lait-glazed porcelain, Qianlong period (1736-1795), comprising a pair of bowls ad covers, a set of three teabowls and a small bowl, each with floral famille rose and iron-red panels on an even brown ground (one cover with chip, the bowl with hairline crack, small damages as may be expected)
2917 – China, a pair of famille rose porcelain deep plates, Qianlong period (1736-1795), modelled with shaped rim and painted with cranes near a pine- tree, a fort in the background (rim frits and some minor grazed chips)
2918 – China, a pair of famille rose porcelain Mandarin pattern plates, Qianlong period (1736-1795), finely painted with a gentleman and a boy with a falcon before a window with a lady, the rim with a floral border (one with faint hairline, some small rim nicks)
2919 – China, a pair of famille rose Mandarin pattern plates, 18th century, painted with figures and a small dog at a table near a pavilion in a garden (one with rim repair and related hairline)
2932 – China, a famille verte porcelain 'Arbour' plate after a design by Cornelis Pronk, Qianlong period (1736-1795), painted with a lady and attendant seated under a gazebo in a garden and surrounded by children, the rim with roundels of fruit, flowers and butterflies (in good condition)
2933 – China, a set of three Imari porcelain 'Dame au Parasol' plates after a design by Cornelis Pronk, Qianlong period (1736-1795), painted with an attendant holding a parasol for a lady feeding water fowl, the rims with panels of ladies and fowl (minor rim frits, one with glaze crack)
2935 – China, four various Canton famille rose porcelain plates, 18th century, variously painted with figural scenes at a river side (one with hairlines and rim chips)
2936 – China, a pair of famille rose porcelain plates, 19th century, painted with chrysanthemum, peony and bamboo
2937 – China, a famille rose porcelain basin, 20th century, he interior painted with children seated on top of a mythical beast, surrounded by ladies and boys at the well, the base with apocryphal Daoguang mark (hairline crack to base)

5666 – P.N. Guinea, Upper Sepik River, shield showing a pattern of ovals connected with flowing lines, triangular and curved shapes. The ridge with a curved indentation. With natural pigments in black, white and yellow. A wooden handle on the reverse.
5683 – Papua, North West Asmat, war shield, with a design in red on a white ground, showing a.o. praying mantis and abstracted anthropomorphs , plant fibre tassels.
