Description
Original copy of the elegant French fashion magazine Le Miroir des Modes, appeared in February 1922 - numéro 2 (Volume LXXXIV). This issue was published by The Butterick Publishing Company in Paris, London and New York, and was a leader in the world of women's fashion during the interwar period.
The cover is a telling example of Art Deco illustration, signed by Raimon, featuring a woman in an evening gown at a red-topped table, in a bold interior with red folding screen and mirrors - graphic, modern and stylish.
Inside, the magazine features original fashion designs, clothing patterns, style advice and advertisements from the early 1920s - a wonderful insight into the fashion culture of Paris.
