The magazine was published monthly by The Butterick Publishing Company in Paris, London and New York, and provided an important international window into the fashion of the interwar period.
The cover shows an enchanting Art Deco illustration of a young woman in an evening gown at the edge of a pond, in soft pastel and nocturnal tones - a beautiful period image of the roaring twenties.
