This impressive publication features 564 pages of Leni Riefenstahl's renowned African photography, including her photographs of the Nuba, Dinka, Shilluk and Masai.

Riefenstahl travelled regularly to Africa from the 1960s onwards. Her photography, particularly of the Nuba, grew into an important and internationally renowned part of her photographic oeuvre. This monumental publication brings together her African photography in an exceptionally large format.

The release also features an interview by film historian Kevin Brownlow and extensive biographical and bibliographical information. The texts are presented in multiple languages.

Africa was published in 2002 by TASCHEN in a worldwide print run of just 2,500 copies. Each copy is numbered and personally signed by Leni Riefenstahl.

This copy is numbered 1915/2500 and is kept in the original blue clamshell box.
