Authentic blue and white Chinese dragon board from the 17th century, with a powerfully painted dragon and vivid details that make the mythical energy palpable.

Origin & meaning
This plate belongs to the export porcelain of the Chinese Transitional period. The dragon motif symbolises power, prosperity and protection. On the underside is the trademark Hey Ji applied in underglaze blue - a well-known export mark from the 17th century, often used to convey quality and authenticity.

Dimensions & condition
Diameter: 17 cm
Condition: the plate shows chips, baking flaws and frittings, appropriate to its age and use. The image of the dragon is still bright and attractive.
