Rare Northern Song celadon bowl from the Jepara shipwreck with delicate floral relief decoration. A superb example of Chinese Song dynasty (10th-12th century) craftsmanship, salvaged from the famous Jepara shipwreck.

Origin & meaning
This bowl, with a diameter of 18 cm and height of 7.5 cm, shows a subtle floral decoration in relief on the inside, typical of high-quality celadon production from the Song period. The bowl was recovered from the Jepara shipwreck, an important archaeological find that provides insight into maritime trade between China and Southeast Asia in the 11th-12th centuries. Celadon was highly prized at the time for its jade-like lustre and timeless beauty.
