Origin & meaning
The Mossi used catapults not only for hunting, but also as objects of spiritual value. The addition of a female figure refers to fertility, protection and the continuity of life. This specimen comes from a private collection in Castricum and bears a warm, deep patina with fine details in the carving decoration.
Dimensions & condition
Height 22.5 cm - width 6 cm - depth 4 cm.
Condition: stable, with weathered patina, traces of age and use adding to its authenticity. Small natural drying cracks visible.
