Characterful wooden milk jug from Nepal with animal handle. This particular utensil breathes authenticity and displays beautifully hand-carved patterns around the jug.
Origin & meaning
Originating from Nepal, probably used in rural context for storing or pouring milk. The animal-shaped handle refers to the close connection between humans, animals and everyday use in Himalayan cultures. Such jugs were often used functionally, but their decorative carvings also give them ritual and symbolic connotations.

Condition: with obvious signs of use. A continuous crack is visible running from the top edge downwards, befitting its age and history of use. Further traces of wear and patina, but the object remains stable and decorative.
