Description
A beautiful Vietnamese lidded box from the 15th or 16th century, decorated with a fine floral motif in compartmentalisation. This blue and white ceramic treasure has a diameter of 8 cm and is 4.5 cm high. Both the lid and the underside are richly painted, with a central floral rosette surrounded by graceful tendrils on the lid. The box exudes the understated elegance characteristic of Vietnamese export pottery from this period.
A small but special find for collectors of Southeast Asian ceramics or early export goods. In excellent condition and carefully preserved.
