Origin & meaning
Martres Tolosane, located in southern France, has been known for its artisanal faience for centuries. The Oiseaux decor with the graceful ibis is one of its most popular motifs. This hand-decorated pot embodies the French tradition of colourful and vibrant tableware that was used both decoratively and functionally. The pumpkin shape gives the object a charming look that perfectly complements the rural French character.
