Origin & meaning
Bought at De Zwaan auction house, from Lot 460 of the Christie's South Kensington auction Style & Spirit (25 September 2007). This provenance from a carefully curated interior collection gives the piece extra collector's value. Feldspar spheres were widely used in interior decoration in the early 20th century due to their warm appearance.
