Traditional Hopi Longhair kachina from Arizona, with its characteristic long snout, understated appearance and original painting. A superb example of Hopi woodcarving.
Origin & meaning:
The Longhair kachina (Angak'china) symbolises rain and fertility. During ceremonies, he appears with a graceful chant, summoning the clouds and rain to feed crops. The elongated face and striking snout are typical of this figure. This specimen features vivid polychrome painting and an original feather on its head.

Height 35 cm, width 16 cm, depth 10 cm (without the feathers).
